Our County Wexford Dance School’s Uniform
At Slaneyside School of Dancing, our children’s ballet, tap, modern, contemporary and hip hop classes have a set uniform based on what grade or class your child is in.
Our uniform sees that students are appropriately and safely dressed for taking part in their dance class, and allows them to feel truly immersed and part of our Wexford dance academy.

Uniform
| Slaney Babies, Pre-Primary and Primary Ballet | – Roch Valley “Charlotte” leotard in Lilac – Skin tone or Pink leather ballet shoes with coordinating elastic – Skin tone or Pink ballet socks or ballet tights (Socks for examination) – Lilac crossover cardigan (For class only) *Crocs are recommended for getting to/from class as small children can simply put them on over their ballet shoes |
| Grades 1-3 Ballet | – Roch Valley “Elizabeth” leotard in Lavender – Skin tone or Pink leather ballet shoes with coordinating elastic – Skin tone or Pink ballet socks or ballet tights – Purple crossover cardigan (For class only) – Little Ballerina character skirt with “Brights” ribbons – Black character shoes (Low heel Grades 1-2/Cuban heel Grade 3) *Character skirt and shoes not needed initially. Only purchase on request of your teacher |
| Grades 4+ Ballet | – Roch Valley “Arioso” leotard in Deep Purple – Skin tone or Pink leather ballet shoes with coordinating elastic – Skin tone or Pink convertible ballet tights – Purple crossover cardigan (For class only) – Little Ballerina character skirt with “Brights” ribbons – Black character shoes (Cuban heel) *Character skirt and shoes not needed initially. Only purchase on request of your teacher |
| Boys Ballet | – White R.A.D T-shirt and Navy shorts (Baby class up to Grade 2) – White R.A.D leotard and Navy R.A.D leggings (Grade 3 & upwards) – White socks & black leather ballet shoes – White leather ballet shoes for examination |
| Slaney Combo Modern & Tap | – Roch Valley “2017” leotard in Purple – Wear Moi black footless dance tights – Black tap shoes (no split soles) – Black jazz shoes (optional for Seniors, not needed for lower grades) |
| Contemporary Teen/Boys Hip Hop | -Black Slaneyside T-shirt (available through Miss Sam) -Black leggings -Ballet shoes/foot thongs (optional for floor work) NB. Dancers are not permitted to dance in socks due to fall risk |
